About MYTS

Musical Youth Theatre Stafford (MYTS) is the junior division of Musical Theatre Stafford. We develop young performers’ vocal, theatrical and dance abilities through workshops, rehearsals and a full-scale annual musical.

Who can join

We welcome performers aged 8–18. No prior experience is required — we run workshops to prepare newcomers for auditions each year.

How we work

  • Autumn workshops — three preparatory sessions at John Wheeldon Primary Academy to introduce performers to the group and the year’s material.
  • Auditions — held after the workshops. All registered performers audition.
  • Rehearsals — weekly through the season, culminating in a professional run at Stafford Gatehouse Theatre.
